If you’ve attended a Bevinars virtual class, you’ll know how much Oldman delights in finding a $17 bottle of red wine that tastes like a $40 one.

The red wines on Oldman’s 2023 list definitely punch above their weight and price point, delivering on taste while saving you money. Some start from $13, with the average price around $16 or $17. There is even a $10 wine amongst the invaluable list of good, cheap red wines.

It’s an extensive wine list that includes lighter red wine styles that are ideal for summer drinking, as well as heavier (medium to full-bodied) red wines, perfect with steak, burgers or roast chicken.

Oldman says that it is important to remember that “good” wine is very subjective, and everyone’s taste preferences are different. He suggests taking the time to explore various options and trust your palate to find the cheap red wines that you truly enjoy.
